Short-term commercial leadership · UAE B2B technology

You have the technology.
Who is building your UAE sales?

I work directly with technology founders and leadership teams as a short-term, contracted UAE commercial lead — opening doors, driving customer conversations, developing qualified opportunities and pursuing sales.

Not a market-entry report. Not an appointment-setting agency. Not a permanent headcount commitment.Hands-on UAE business development, led personally by Magnus Norden.

Who Talisman is for

Three starting points. One commercial challenge.

Whether you are already incorporated in the UAE or still evaluating the market from overseas, the issue is often the same: a credible technology offering, but no experienced person on the ground taking responsibility for commercial progress.

01 / UAE FREE ZONE

Established in a Free Zone. Ready to find customers.

You have made the move, formed the company and brought a product to market. But establishing a legal entity is not the same as building a sales pipeline.

“We’re here. How do we start winning business?”

I help define the right buyers, engage decision-makers, run customer conversations and develop a credible UAE opportunity pipeline.

The objective → Move from presence to traction.
02 / UAE MAINLAND

Operational in the mainland. Looking for commercial momentum.

Your company and product exist, but founder-led selling or an underdeveloped sales function is holding back growth.

“How do we turn our capability into consistent opportunities?”

I bring senior-level commercial focus: account targeting, outreach, meetings, opportunity ownership, proposals and deal progression.

The objective → Build pipeline, customers and a repeatable sales approach.
03 / INTERNATIONAL

Interested in the UAE. Not ready to build a local operation.

You have a functioning product and perhaps customers elsewhere. Before committing to a UAE office, local team or entity, you want evidence that buyers here will engage.

“Is the UAE opportunity real enough to justify investment?”

I test the commercial proposition through direct market conversations, target-account engagement and qualified opportunity development.

The objective → Make the investment decision with evidence, not assumptions.

Any commercial activity is subject to the appropriate UAE licensing and regulatory requirements; an initial validation engagement is not a substitute for permissions that may be required.

The difference is execution

I don't just advise you on UAE sales.
I work to generate them.

You engage me as an experienced, contracted commercial operator. I work inside the commercial challenge with you, rather than handing over a strategy deck and leaving your team to execute it.

“The person you engage is the person doing the work.”

Your team remains responsible for the technology, technical demonstrations and solution design. I take responsibility for the agreed commercial work.

01
Identify the right buyers

Define ideal customer profiles, prioritise sectors and build a realistic list of UAE target accounts and decision-makers.

02
Start meaningful conversations

Approach prospects, open relationships, arrange meetings and lead initial commercial discussions with relevant stakeholders.

03
Qualify real opportunities

Understand needs, budgets, timing, decision processes and product fit — distinguishing genuine pipeline from activity for activity's sake.

04
Progress deals, not just meetings

Coordinate follow-up, work with your product specialists, develop proposals, manage objections and support negotiations and closing.

05
Make progress visible

Track conversations, qualified opportunities, pipeline value, customer feedback and next actions. Share a clear view of what is — and is not — working.

Flexible, time-defined engagements

Start with the level of commitment the opportunity deserves.

You don't need to hire a full-time country manager to find out whether the market will respond. We agree a practical scope, a defined period and commercial objectives appropriate to your product and sales cycle.

01 / VALIDATE

Does the UAE market respond?

Typically an initial 90-day engagement. Put the proposition in front of real prospective buyers and assess whether there is a credible commercial opportunity.

  • Buyer and target-account mapping
  • Direct prospecting and customer meetings
  • Qualified conversations and early pipeline
  • Market feedback and an evidence-based next step
02 / BUILD

There is traction. Let's develop it.

A deeper, defined commercial engagement. Move beyond market testing into active pipeline ownership, relationships and deal development.

  • Consistent business development
  • Opportunity and partner development
  • Proposal and negotiation coordination
  • Pipeline management and forecasting
03 / LEAD

Own the UAE commercial challenge.

Fractional commercial leadership. I act as your principal UAE commercial resource while the opportunity grows toward a permanent internal operation.

  • Senior customer and partner relationships
  • Commercial priorities and execution
  • Revenue development and key accounts
  • Preparation for eventual handover

Engagements are scoped following discovery. Revenue and closed sales are objectives, not guarantees; the achievable outcome depends on product fit, deal size and sales-cycle length.

Who you will work with

Not an agency team.
Me, personally.

I've spent much of my career turning technology propositions into commercial relationships and revenue in the UAE. At dubizzle Motors, I joined as the first commercial hire and helped build the dealer business. At Careem, I managed a substantial corporate sales portfolio. I've also held commercial leadership roles in earlier-stage technology businesses.

That experience is what a Talisman client contracts for. I personally lead the prospecting, conversations, qualification, opportunity development and commercial follow-through within the agreed scope. I work alongside your founders and technical specialists, not instead of them.

My aim isn't to become a permanent fixture on your payroll. It's to help you establish whether the opportunity is worth pursuing, create traction where possible and build the case for your own local sales capability.

Senior-level conversationsHands-on executionDefined contractsCommercial accountabilityDesigned for handover

What progress looks like

Measured by commercial evidence, not presentation slides.

At the outset we agree what success should look like for your company. Early engagements can be evaluated through the quality of customer engagement and the opportunities being developed — with sales pursued wherever the buying cycle allows.

CONVERSATIONS

Are the right people engaging?

Relevant buyers identified, decision-makers reached, qualified conversations held and meaningful meetings secured.

PIPELINE

Is commercial opportunity emerging?

Clear customer needs, viable opportunities, tracked next steps, proposal activity and measurable pipeline value.

SALES & DECISIONS

What should happen next?

Progress opportunities toward contracts where feasible — and make an informed decision to invest, refine the approach or stop.

Straight answers

A practical arrangement, not a leap of faith.

Is Talisman a consultancy or an outsourced sales agency?

Neither in the conventional sense. The focus is senior, hands-on commercial execution by Magnus personally, contracted for an agreed scope and period. Advice is part of the work, but customer engagement and opportunity development are the point.

Do we need a UAE entity before starting?

Not necessarily to discuss or assess the opportunity. International companies can explore an appropriately structured market-validation engagement before deciding whether to establish a local operation. The permitted scope of activity must be confirmed against applicable UAE licensing and regulatory requirements.

Will you actually try to close sales?

Yes. Where the product, opportunity and sales cycle permit, the goal is to progress qualified deals through proposals, negotiation and potential closure. No responsible commercial operator can guarantee revenue before understanding the market and your offer.

How long is an initial engagement?

A 90-day validation engagement is a practical starting point. More intensive build or lead assignments can run longer, with scope, responsibilities and review points agreed in advance.

What do you need from our team?

A functioning product, access to decision-makers internally, clear commercial objectives and timely support from product or technical specialists for demonstrations, solution design and customer questions.

What happens if the UAE opportunity works?

We can deepen the engagement while traction develops, then prepare for a handover to your own permanent commercial team when the business case supports it. Successful handover is a positive outcome.

A sensible first step

Let's establish whether I can move your UAE opportunity forward.

Tell me what you're selling, who you're trying to reach and what's preventing progress. I'll give you a straightforward view on whether a short-term commercial engagement makes sense.
